Kaiju is medium sized female who brings good hardness, power, and intensity. She is dedicated to her task and loyal to her handler. Kaiju loves to engage with her handler and will push for you to work with her. I never gave to worry about losing her engagement. She is affectionate without being needy, and biddable without being handler sensitive. She is responsive and very clear headed in her work with full, hard, pushing grips. She is a very physical dog who loves the fight and loves to throw her body around. She is also a good mother who cares a lot about her pups, even past weaning. As she has matured she's developed a great ability to read situations and has even become my best cattle herder. She's willing to stand her ground and engage a testy cow or bull but isn't heavy handed when they respect her pressure. She's nicely balanced in the way she works with them and how she reads a situation and decides to handle it. She's also shown great potential as a hunting dog, her son Mariachi has really been able to display these traits as he's a full time hunting dog, taking down Javelina, Tehone, and other game for his family.
Kaiju may or may not be bred in the future in light of recent health issues I've had with my dogs through Daffy. I am consulting with other breeders who have far more experience first and getting more third party opinions of her. If I do decide to breed her again it will be with a dog carefully chosen for fantastic ortho health and full disclosure of the past litter to buyers along with incentives/cost covering for x-rays.
