Jira is a medium-small sized female who is fast, intense, twitchy, and fun. She has a big engine, lots of go, and plenty of drive. Despite this she does still have an off switch and is a good girl in the house. She is a biddable girl who wants to do right by her handler and the other members of her pack. Jira is mostly neutral to new people, preferring to continue playing with her ball than get pets. She is fantastic with other dogs and especially gentle\patient with kids. In protection Jira is fast and fiery with higher suspicion. She strikes hard and full with a really solid natural grips. Jira also has a fantastic nose with great hunt drive and she has a lot of pack drive as well. She also has some of the best environmental nerve that I’ve seen and really good body control.
Jira also proved incredibly invaluable in herding. She thrives when working in the open with larger numbers, displaying natural living fence behavior and a very good eye for reading the herd. Jira will happily work all day and never slacks on the job.
