A very promising young male. He is a larger male with good bone and substance with a strong, functional build. He displays phenomenal character with pronounced self confidence and firmness of nerves. He possesses a strong desire to work and shows natural talent in all phases. In protection he is powerful and confident engaging a threat with a full, firm, calm grip and strong possession. In obedience he is a fast, eager, responsive dog who learns quickly, retains well, and pushes the handler to work more. He also has strong retrieval drive and will pick up anything, metal or otherwise. He is an independent dog but once his relationship is earned he goes out of his way to do right by his handler and wants to do well. He is clear headed and not a dog who is controlled by his environment. He has high prey, play, toy, and food drive with a great nose and strong hunt.
Around the house he has a fantastic off switch and is not a destructive dog. He is amazing with his family and loving to our children but aloof yet accepting of strangers. Despite this he is also not a pushover and will stand up for himself if necessary. He is very much a self respecting dog. He will not tolerate weak or unfair handling but takes fair corrections very well with no handler aggression. He is always up for a new challenge and just wants to be at his handler's side.
