Ava was returned to us in 2019 due to her owner experiencing life and living hardships. Ava was a very promising dog, she fit into my pack right away and even did well with my 4 year old step son. Ava was a very sweet, biddable girl who loved her people. She wanted to please and was naturally responsive. She showed well in what little protection we did do, even showing a natural civil side.
Unfortunately we lost Ava in August of 2019 to unknown causes. A friend had been watching her for part of the day, When I returned Ava was acting a bit needier than usual and her gait was a bit off but she was alert, responsive, active, eating, and drinking but drinking more than usual. Unfortunately I made the wrong call, I felt she looked good enough to go in the morning as the vet was closed.I crated her for the night and when I woke in the morning she had passed. I immediately called my vet to do an autopsy but was denied, they stated since she appeared to pass early in the night and the temperatures were high that they would be unable to due to decomposition, I regret this as well and wish I hadn’t had taken their word for it and asked around. They speculated due to how suddenly she passed that she possibly consumed poison from a poisoned rodent but unfortunately we have no idea what actually caused her passing.

She was a fantastic dog and had so much potential. I really wish it had ended differently. She was not with me for very long but she was a joy to have around. She was a sweetheart and really wanted to be good.
